Founded by Donald and Shannon Harbaugh in 2025 after a fire reshaped our lives, Twilight Timbers was born from resilience and a deep love for the land we call home in Leslie, Missouri. What began as a heartbreak became a dream: to share the quiet magic of this star-lit countryside with others seeking peace, beauty, and a break from the noise of everyday life.

Our 78-acre retreat is rich with history—set near the site of the Indian Paint Mine, where indigenous people once gathered vibrant earth pigments from the land. To this day, you can still find hints of that legacy in the colored clays scattered across our hills—orange, red, yellow, and even a rare bluish-teal. Just up the old rail line from the historic Leslie train stop, where travelers once paused under twilight skies, you’ll find our yurt tents and peaceful clearings waiting to welcome you.

Here, under a canopy of trees and stars, the only deadline is sunset—and the only signal that matters is the one in your soul telling you to slow down, breathe deep, and make memories.

Just off Highway CC in the quiet hills of Leslie, Missouri, Twilight Timbers sits on 78 acres of untamed countryside where nature does the talking. Here, gravel roads crunch under your tires, the trees sway with the wind, and the stars come out by the thousands. We’re close enough for an easy drive—about an hour from St. Louis—but far enough to feel like you’ve stepped into another world. Whether you’re swinging in a hammock or sipping coffee by the fire, this little patch of Missouri feels like home the minute you arrive.

At Twilight Timbers Lc Campground, we believe that camping should be a comfortable and enjoyable experience. That's why we offer a range of amenities for our guests, including clean restrooms, hot showers, a camp store, and a picnic area. We also have a variety of activities for the whole family, such as hiking trails, wildlife watching, and campfire sing-alongs.
